In the 20th edition of most of the funds obtained through Race Against Hunger will go to prevention, detection and treatment of child malnutrition in the African Sahel region in countries such as Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Sudan South or Ethiopia. There, 1.5 million children suffer from acute severe malnutrition, meaning that they are 10 times more likely to die from malnutrition-related causes.
