Rockschool music qualifications are tailor-made for the contemporary musician. Ranging from introductory grades to advanced levels of study, RSL Awards’ graded music exams ensure hard work is rewarded regardless of age or previous musical experience.
 
Whether you are taking their first steps on your instrument, moving into further/higher education, or perfecting your advanced instrument technique; a Rockschool qualification will not only improve your playing ability, but expand your technical proficiency and give you a solid grasp of music theory – all whilst learning some of the most iconic tracks from the world of popular music.
Rockschool exams are based on a Levels structured Syllabus. These Levels are divided by Grades.

 

A color code allows them to be easily identified:

  Initiation: Premiere and Debut
 
   Level 1: Grades 1, 2 and 3
 
   Level 2: Grades 4 and 5
 
   Level 3: Grades 6, 7 and 8

Piano Rock School and Classical Piano

The Rockschool Piano syllabus is an essential resource for contemporary pianists: with 9 levels of piano grades, all abilities are covered.
 
The RSL Classical Piano syllabus proudly represents Classical music in all its forms. The pieces sit alongside a range of scales, arpeggios and technical studies to provide a challenging and engaging syllabus for the 21st-century musician.

Violin

Suzuki method developed by the Japanese violinist and pedagogue S. Suzuki. It is based on the learning processes of the mother tongue. Suzuki observed that children learn to speak their own language by imitation. Musical ability is not an innate talent, but a skill that is learned just as we learn to speak the mother tongue.

Vocals

A Rockschool Vocal Grade will not only improve your singing ability, but expand your technical proficiency, grasp of music theory and appreciation of some of the most influential songs from the past five decades.

Rock School Montessori is accredited by Rockschool

It is an examination organization established in the United Kingdom that offers qualifications
accredited in modern music.

Rockschool degrees are included in the Treaty of Bologna of the European Union and
integrated into the European Qualifications Framework (EQF – European Qualifications
Framework). All RSL certificates have the corresponding EQF level associated with them.

Grades 6, 7 and 8 and Professional Diplomas award UCAS points that facilitate access
to British universities and music colleges in the UK.
